YMTS Juniors is a programme developed specifically for the youngest members of YMTS, places are available from ages 7-14. Juniors focuses on the building blocks of Musical Theatre performance. The team of young, highly trained and professional practitioners help participants reach their full potential in Singing, Acting, Dancing and Stagecraft.

YMTS Juniors has expanded! After the success of Guys and Dolls Kids last June, there were so many new participants that the practitioners decided to split the Juniors into a younger class (Junior Juniors, 7-10) and an older class (the Inbetweeners, 11-14). We began with a 7 week skills building term – learning audition techniques, focusing on singing, dancing, acting and stagecraft. We are now working toward our end of term shows!

The Junior Juniors will be presenting Jungle Book Kids:

The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in this exciting Disney classic! Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like The Bare Necessities, and I Wan’na Be Like You. With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, The Jungle Book KIDS is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages.

The Inbetweeners will be presenting 13:

A grown-up story about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won’t talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumours. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Dates to be released soon. (but will be towards the end of summer term 2015!)
