In 1284, 130 children vanished from the town of Hamelin.
Only one child remained.
Young people from across Scotland came together to create a new rock musical, inspired by the tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and more recent tales of children lost in time. Performing an original score, with film, live performance and physical theatre, this talented group of young people drew the audience in with the traditional tale, adding twists and turns and delving deeper into the tale than they had ever been before!
Youth Music Theatre Scotland work with young people under the age of 25 throughout Scotland on a range of performance, workshop and new-writing projects every year. Hamelin: The Last Child is one of four productions YMTS presented at Edinburgh Academy as part of the 2013 Fringe.
